FOURTH PHASE OF POLLING GOES OFF PEACEFULLY, HIGHEST TURNOUT IN BENGAL

New Delhi: The fourth phase of polling has been completed peacefully. In the fourth phase of the general election, voting was held in 96 parliamentary constituencies of the country. Voting was held from 7 am to 6 pm. According to the data obtained, 62.94% voting has been done in this phase. According to the data of the Election Commission, in the fourth phase, the maximum number of votes was recorded in West Bengal, while the lowest number of votes was recorded in Jammu and Kashmir. The total polling in West Bengal was 76.02 percent while in Jammu and Kashmir 36.88 percent was polled.

According to information, 62.94 percent polling has been done in 96 Lok Sabha seats of the country yesterday. 75.02% in West Bengal, 68.12% in Andhra Pradesh, 68.86% in Madhya Pradesh, 63.85% in Odisha, 63.44% in Jharkhand, 61.54% in Telangana, 55.92% in Bihar, 57.97% in Uttar Pradesh, 52 in Maharashtra. .93% and 36.88% voting in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to reports, polling was held peacefully in most of the seats in the fourth phase. However, there have been reports of violence in some parts of Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal. Not only this, there have been reports of EVM defects in some booths in West Bengal and Odisha. In Andhra Pradesh, TDP and YSRCP have accused each other of violence in some districts. Meanwhile, a video of the YSRCP MLA also surfaced, in which he was seen slapping a voter. Apart from this, BJP candidate Madhvi Lata lifted the veils of Muslim women and saw their faces, for which a case was registered against her.

It is worth noting that in the three phases of the Lok Sabha election, a total of 66.14%, 66.71% and 65.68% of voting took place. Yesterday, the fourth phase of voting was held in the country. Voting has been held in all 17 seats of Telangana, 25 seats of Andhra Pradesh, 12 seats of Uttar Pradesh, 5 seats of Bihar, 4 seats of Jharkhand, 8 seats of Madhya Pradesh, 11 seats of Maharashtra, 4 seats of Odisha, 4 seats of West Bengal and 8 seats of Jammu and Kashmir.
