New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah said in an interview to India Today that there will be a face-to-face fight against the BJD under the leadership of Naveen Patnaik. Shah has clarified the basis of the party’s decision to contest the election alone.
He said, Shah emphasized on the party workers’ strong belief that the BJP should stand alone in the election campaign to respect the Odisha language, culture and the glory of Odisha. There has been significant growth in areas where Modi has won. Therefore, under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, Shah appealed to the people of Odisha to hand over the development responsibility of the state to the BJP.
The Ment talks broke down last month after the BJD government expressed its differences with the government on various issues related to the welfare of the Odia people, including the preservation of Odia identity and Odia glory.
