New Delhi: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal reached the Delhi High Court regarding the Delhi liquor corruption case. By filing a petition in the High Court, he demanded from the court not to take strict action against him. He said, ‘I am ready to cooperate in the investigation of the Delhi liquor corruption case, but let the ED be prevented from arresting me’.
Kejriwal further said, the Enforcement Directorate should give an assurance in the court that if no punitive action is taken against him, he will appear before the ED. However, today (Thursday) in the Delhi High Court, the jury headed by Judge Suresh Ket will hear the case today.
It is worth noting that the Delhi Public Prosecutor’s Office (ED) has sent summons to Arvind Kejriwal 9 times so far. Kejriwal was told to appear in the ED today (March 21) after issuing the 9th summons on the 17th. Before this, he reached the court and stated in the application that the ED should not take any punitive action against him.
However, despite the fact that the ED has summoned the Delhi Chief Minister 9 times to investigate the Delhi liquor corruption case, he is ignoring it. ED has already arrested Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh, Vijay Nair in this case.
