Bhubaneswar: A column titled ‘Power Games’ by journalist Shahid Farid was published in the English newspaper ‘The New Indian Express’ and Manning Standard. In which it was mentioned that there was a discussion with senior BJD leaders and central BJP leaders. Former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik denied this fact with both sides.
The relevant newspaper has apologized unreservedly after coming to light on this matter. He also said, ‘We are sure that VK Pandian has not met or talked to any BJP central leader’. That is why he has revised the news published by him. He expressed that he is sorry for such a mistake.
It would not have been a mistake to publish such fabricated news by a reputable newspaper like ‘The New Indian Express’ before publishing it. We hope that such mistakes will not be repeated in the coming days, said BJD.
