Jammu and Kashmir: Security forces encounter during infiltration. An encounter took place in Samba sector of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. It has been reported that the intruder was killed by BSF Soldier. Even now, the search operation has been intensified at the spot.
It is said that the BSF Soldier were monitoring the suspicious activities of people who had crossed the international border from Pakistan in the Samba region. The Javanese challenged the infiltrator, but the Javanese opened fire on him when he was seen infiltrating towards the border. Officials said that the incident took place near the border checking post and additional forces have been sent for a strict search. Security forces cordoned off the area. The incident is being investigated while the search operation is going on.
Earlier, a member of the Village Defense Guard (VDG) was killed in an encounter with terrorists who had infiltrated a remote village in Udhampur district. Additional Director General of Police (Jammu Division) Anand Jain, who arrived in the area to monitor the anti-terrorist operation, said that a massive search operation is underway to find and arrest the terrorists who infiltrated from Pakistan. Two groups of terrorists are found to be present in the area after infiltrating across the border recently. A week ago, two terrorists were killed and two army personnel were injured in an encounter between terrorists and security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
