Dravid refused to take an additional bonus of Rs 2.5 crore

Mumbai: After winning the 2024 T20 Cricket World Cup, India is going on a holiday of awards. BCCI announced a prize money of 125 crore rupees for the players. When this amount was divided, coach Rahul Dravid got 5 crore rupees. However, he did not like that 2.5 crore was given to other coaching staff. He returned his extra Rs 2.5 crore. About which now the discussion is raging. Vikram Rathore, Paras Mahambre and T Dileep also gave full support to Dravid. According to Dravid, we should all get the same amount. Why should I charge more?

This initiative of his is being praised in different quarters. Under Dravid’s training, India finished runners-up in the 2023 World Cup and now after 17 years, they have won the T20 World Cup. India won the title by defeating South Africa by 7 runs in the thrilling final. After the completion of Dravid’s tenure, Gautam Gambhir has been appointed as the coach.
