Death of former cricketer David Johnson who fell from his apartment

Bengaluru: Former Indian pace bowler David Jahnson died after falling from an apartment on the 4th floor. He was 52 years old at the time of his death. Jahnson played 2 Test matches for India in 1996 and took 3 wickets. It is not clear whether he committed suicide or died after falling from the roof. He has also played 39 first-class cricket matches. In 1995-96 Janshan took 10 wickets for 152 runs against Kerala in the Ranji Trophy. On the strength of this performance, he got a place in the Indian team.

He made his international debut against Australia in 1996. After that he also went on a tour of South Africa with the team. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah, Anil Kumble Pramukh has expressed grief over his death. Due to fitness problems, Jahnson could not compete in international cricket. He continued to play domestic cricket for Karnataka for a long time. After retirement, Jahnson started coaching.
