Cuttack: Comic artist Gyana Rath passed away in Cuttack’s large medical center late on Sunday night. He breathed his last at the age of 62 years. He was seriously injured in a road accident last Sunday and was being treated in the trauma ICU of SCB Large Medical Center.

Rath’s birth place in Kendrapada district. He was residing in Gopalpur of Cuttack district. He worked as a cartoonist for many years in several newspapers like Daily Samaj, Dharitree, Anupam Bharat. The shadow of mourning has been played in the family due to his death.
