Chief Minister reviews controversial irrigation projects, projects threatening livelihoods will be opposed

Bhubaneswar: The Chief Minister reviewed the irrigation projects related to the state dispute. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has ordered strong opposition to the projects that are against the interests of Odisha and are threatening the livelihood of the people of Odisha.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi reviewed various inter-state irrigation projects related to Odisha at Lok Sabha Bhawan on Monday. Development Commissioner and Additional Chief Administrative Secretary of Water Resources Department Anu Garg presented detailed information to the Chief Minister regarding various inter-state projects related to Odisha.

Discussions were held regarding state projects such as Mahanadi, Vanshdhara, Polavaram etc. The chief minister said that the interest of the people of Odisha is the most important for us. The Chief Minister directed to completely oppose all the projects that are against Odisha’s interests, affect the livelihood of the people of Odisha and endanger the environment of Odisha.
