CENTURION UNIVERSITY LAUNCHES ‘HEALTHCARE ON WHEELS’ VISION CARE VEHICLE

Bhubaneswar: Centurion University has launched ‘Health Care on Wheels’ vision care vehicle. Furthering Centurion’s long-standing commitment to providing remote healthcare services to rural Odisha, this is the first time any university in Odisha has initiated such an innovative initiative.

Over the years, Centurion University has been organizing Vision Care Camps across rural Odisha, reaching out to the neglected masses and providing eye care services.

Centurion University President Dr. Mukti kanta Mishra expressed his enthusiasm to expand their cause through the ‘Healthcare on the Wheels’ campaign. He highlighted the significant impact of accessible eye care on the individual and the collective and said that ‘Healthcare on Wheels’ is a continuation of their mission to empower the underserved population with essential healthcare services.

The ‘Healthcare on Wheels’ vision care vehicle, funded by LTIMindtree, will provide comprehensive eye exams, connect patients with healthcare professionals and provide cost-effective eye wear solutions.

Centurion University’s aim is to meet the need for affordable eye care in rural Odisha by focusing on collaboration and group deployment with Esilo.

Birla University Vice-Chancellor Professor Gopal pathak and LTIMindtree CSR and Sustainability Associate Director Jitendra Ghangas were present at the launch of the Vision Care vehicle.
