Balasore: The Kalrapatria tiger that was terrorizing Balasore district’s Khira area was caught. After 8 hours of tireless work, the forest department caught the tiger. A special team from the forest department, Apada, Remuna, Kupari Tire and Similipal forest department has managed to capture the tiger. It is reported that the tiger is of the Kalrapatria species and its height is 3 feet and its length is more than 4 feet. When the tiger is healthy, it will be released in Similpal, said the forest department.
According to information, the tiger roamed the village and attacked people. Yesterday 4 people including a woman were injured in the tiger attack. The wounded woman is one’s satyabhama Nayak. Yesterday Satyabhama was working with her son Radhakant and her husband gananath in the Baddy field near their house when a tiger suddenly attacked her. Hearing the screams of Satyabhama in the tiger attack, her husband and son ran to her. But the tiger escaped from there to the village. After reaching the spot, the forest department personnel along with the villagers were searching for the tiger in a nearby forest. At this time, the tiger again came to Satyabhama’s house and attacked Tankadhar KC and another person present there along with his son Radhakanta and left again. However, four people injured in the tiger attack were first admitted to the Khira group health center. But he was transferred to Bhadrak because the situation there was critical. On the other hand, after the said incident, there was fear and terror in the whole village.
The tiger was captured late in the night with the help of ACF Dakhant Bhuyan, Upada Ranger Manoranjan Nayak, Forester Kishore Chandra Bhuyan, Kupari Forester Naresh Chandra Bhuyan, senior forest guards. It was reported that the tiger was captured by trawling. When the tiger is healthy, it will be released in Similpal, said the forest department.
