New Delhi: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has presented the general budget for the year 2024-25 in the Lok Sabha.
A total expenditure of Rs. 11.11 lakh crore has been approved in the budget. Then for the development of the eastern state, the ‘Purvodaya scheme will be started. The government of India will take a special program for the development of five eastern states. Those 5 state are Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. However, special importance has been given to Odisha in the budget.
Tourism sector will be developed in Odisha. Its tourist attractions will be protected. The central government will take special programs for the development of the coastal areas and to advance the tourism sector.
Odisha is known for its temples, wildlife, marine resources. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that special financial assistance will be given for the development of tourism and the development of wildlife sanctuaries and beaches.
Notably, this is the seventh budget of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and the first budget of the third term of the Modi government. The Finance Minister has made many big announcement in this budget of the Modi government.
