New Delhi: Brian Lara, the great batsman of West Indies, is now involved in controversy regarding his book. Lara mentioned a similar incident in her book Lara: The England Chronicles for which Vivian Richards and Carl Hooper asked her to apologize. They said that whatever Lara has written is completely false. Richards was very strict in the dressing room. Hooper did this every week while I cried once every three weeks. His voice was so serious and terrifying that if one took it personally it would be psychologically affected. I was definitely not impressed.

Now Hooper, Richards jointly wrote that what he wrote is false. It distorts relationships and reality. This is also killing our character. Viv has never bothered me. He was always encouraging and supportive. Lara is a great player. Hooper said that writing like this would portray Viv differently.
