Khordha: The third round of voting will be held in the state at night. In the third phase, voting will be held in 6 parliament constitution and 42 assembly constitution. There are 64 candidates for 6 parliament constitution and 383 candidates for 42 assembly constituencies. In Khordha district, voting will be held on 25th. Mr. Chanchal Rana, District Collector and District Election Officer, appealed to the people of the district to participate in this great festival of democracy.
About 15,000 polling officers have been employed for the current general election. Out of 1,923 booths in the district, 5,25 are Sakhi booths run by women only, 8 are run by disabled workers and 40 are youth booths run by youth officers, while there are 3,84 ideal and eco-friendly booths. Due to the low voting rate in Bhubaneswar in the last election, the voting rate was low in Khurda district. District Collector Chanchal Rana appealed to the voters to take their family, neighbors and friends to vote on the 25th.
Voters have the facility to know their serial and part number in the voter list through voter helpline app. Similarly, the voters of the district can know the location of the booth, the route to go there and the number of voters standing in the queue during the same time through the ‘My Booth’ app. District Governor Mr. Rana has given motivational information through a video message that drinking water, snacks, crèches for children, waiting houses, toilets, ramps and wheelchairs for disabled friends and chairs for the elderly have been arranged in the polling centers in view of the upcoming summer.
