New Delhi: Gautam Gambhir is considered as the first choice for the upcoming coach position of Indian cricket. While he is said to have applied for the post alone, there has been a dramatic change today. According to the report, BCCI conducted a virtual interview with Gambhir. There was a discussion about the plan regarding Gambhir’s team. After this, the BCCI committee also discussed with WV Raman. According to the news received from another source, BCCI will discuss this with a foreign coach on Wednesday.
It should be noted that Rahul Dravid’s tenure as coach will end after the T20 World Cup. After this the new coach will be selected. Reports are coming out that being a serious coach is a sure thing. It is not clear whether the BCCI has discussed with Raman for the position of coach or whether the selection committee is planning to give him the chief responsibility. The report mentions that Raman’s presentation impressed the BCCI.
