Bhubaneswar: The Council of Minister meeting of the state government will be held after some time. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will chair the meeting at 10:30 AM at Lok Sabha Bhawan. All ministers will be present in the meeting. Since the budget session is scheduled to start on 22nd, it is expected that the draft budget will be approved in the Council of Minister meeting. It has been informed that there may be an announcement related to agriculture.
Before the elections, the previous BJD government budgeted 2 lakh 55 thousand crores for the fiscal year 2024-25. The assembly approved the grant of writing for the first 4 months of the financial year. The new government will bring its first budget on the 25th. Going to fulfill the election promise, the government has announced that the MSP of rice will be Rs.3100
Apart from this, some other big commitments can be reflected in the budget. The budget of the central government has not been presented yet. However, the economists are guessing that the state government has received some signal about how much central funds the state will get.
