Dehradun: Fatal accident in Uttarakhand. 8 people died and 9 people were injured when a tempo plying on Rishikesh-Badrinath highway fell down about 150 meters. All the injured have been rescued and admitted to a nearby hospital.
According to reports, the tempo that crashed was carrying pilgrims from Noida (UP) to Rudraprayag today. However, the Rishikesh-Badrinath highway lost its weight and fell about 150 to 200 meters.
The police and the rescue team arrived on the news and recovered the bodies of seven people from the spot, while the other died in the hospital. Another 9 people have been admitted to a nearby hospital. Tempo driver’s condition is critical in the accident.
