A severe fire broke out near the residence of the Chief Minister of Manipur

mphal: A terrible fire broke out near the residence of the Chief Minister of Manipur. A house near Chief Minister N Biren Singh’s official residence in the capital Imphal caught fire. The fire happened yesterday evening. It has been reported that the house of an ex-IAS officer was burnt down.

According to information, the house where the fire took place belongs to the former chief secretary of Goa, Thangkhopao Kipgen. Former IAS officer Kipgen passed away on 3 March 2005. His family members lived in this house. The important thing is that this building is just a few hundred meters away from the official bungalow of Chief Minister N Biren Singh. After receiving the report of the fire, 4 police forces arrived at the scene. The police are investigating the cause of the fire. He said that a case has been filed to investigate the situation including short circuit. The police said that efforts are underway to catch the culprits.
