Bhubaneswar: Monsoon rains are continu in many parts of the state. Heavy rain is likely in different parts of the state till 28th. Heavy to very heavy rain is likely in some place in Cuttack, Kendrapara and Jagatsinghpur districts today. The regional hydrometeorological department has predicted that there is a possibility of heavy rain in the southern districts.
According to meteorologists, heavy to very heavy rain may occur in Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Nuapada and Angul districts. 3 weather systems are active over the state and the rains are continuing. Also, a cyclone has formed near East Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. The weather department has predicted heavy to very heavy rain in the state for 4 days. However, there is a possibility of rain in different areas of Bansha till next 30th.
Light to moderate rain with heavy to very heavy rain is likely in the next 24 hours. The weather department has issued a yellow warning for heavy rains in Malkangari, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur and Nuapada. Similarly, yellow warning has been issued for Angul, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Balangir, Boudh, Sonepur, Dhenkanal, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Cuttack, Nayagarh, Deogarh and Jharsuguda for heavy rain. Saturday and Sunday are also expected to rain in some districts.
