Berhampur: It has been alleged that the husband of a newly married woman who died under suspicious circumstances has returned from Berhampur Medical Center. Lakshmi Maharana, who lives in Odiaripi Colony of Berhampur Golanthara Police Station, married Queen Maharana less than 4 months ago. According to Queen’s parents, nephew Lakshmi Maharana used to abuse his wife. Late on Monday night, Lakshmi Queen’s family informed people that she had committed suicide.
Lakshmi was detained at the medical police station after the queen’s family lodged a complaint at the Golanthara police station. However, when Lakshmi returned from custody, the police did not give any response regarding the incident. Meanwhile, a video of Lakshmi scaring the queen has gone viral on social media.
Married less than 4 months. She (Lakshmi) used to torture him repeatedly. We have already filed a complaint at Golanthara police station. Two days before his death, he was beaten and his body had bruises. We demand that she be hanged,” said Queen’s brother Rajesh Kumar Maharana.
Lakshmi’s mother Kumudini Maharana expressed surprise and said, “Since we live separately, I don’t know what happened between them yesterday.” I came to know about it after she called me to tell me that the queen had committed suicide.
