New Delhi: In the final phase of the preparation process for the Central Budget 2024-25, a Halwa ceremony has been held in New Delhi on Tuesday. This special ceremony was held in the presence of Union Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman and Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chowdhury.
A traditional Halwa ceremony is held every year before the start of the ‘lock-in’ process of the officers involved in budget preparation. The Union Budget for the financial year 2024-25 will be presented on July 23.
“Central Budget Mobile App” for all Central Budget documents including Annual Financial Statement (General Budget), Demand for Grants (DG), Money Bills etc. for hassle-free access to budget documents by Members of Parliament (MPs) and general public using simple form of digital facility. will be available at .
The app is bilingual (English and Hindi) and will be available on both Android and iOS platforms. This app can also be downloaded from the Union Budget web portal (www.indiabudget.gov.in).
After the Finance Minister’s budget speech in Parliament, the budget document will be available on the mobile app. Along with the Finance Minister, the Secretary of the Ministry of Finance and other senior officials of the Government of India engaged in the preparation of the budget were also present at the Halwa ceremony.
