Bhubaneswar: State-level World Youth Skills Day has been observed. Plans are underway to make the youth skilled in various fields. On this occasion, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated the first Koushal Bhawan. However, the Chief Minister said, the state government is committed to making Odisha a center of skilled human resources. A roadmap for capacity development has been prepared. In next 2-3 years, our youth can enter skill courses based on their interest and get qualified and employed as per industry demand. Our youth is the future of Odisha. The chief minister said that Odisha will become a prosperous state through their skills and talents.
The first Koushal Bhawan for training in the field of hospitality has been inaugurated. 9 more skill centers will be opened. 10 Vishwakarma Centers will be set up to train the youth in the field of construction. ‘CM-ASPIRE’ scheme has been announced to make the youth employable by achieving quality in skills. The Chief Minister said this on the occasion of World Youth Skills Day celebration at the local World Skill Center.
Similarly, there is a need for local employment to meet the needs of local industries. He said that decentralization of skill development program is very important for this. He said that ‘New Odisha District Skill Center’ is being opened at the district level for this purpose. Our government is committed to making Odisha a center of skilled human resources. We have allocated about Rs 31 crore for capacity building in the interim budget this year and it will be increased further in the coming years. The Chief Minister said that the government has created a smart ecosystem and our youth must make the best use of it.
