It has been reported that 4 jawan including an army officer were martyred. Five security guards were seriously injured in the shootout yesterday. Since yesterday, there was a security-terrorist exchange of fire in Doda, Jammu and Kashmir. National Rifles and police clashed during a joint operation. However, in this case, the area has been sealed and the search operation of the security personnel is continuing.
The officer said that the National Rifles of Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Jawans of the Special Operation Group launched a search operation at around 7.45 pm at Hari Gote Urbagi in Desha Jungle area. In the exchange of fire that lasted for more than 20 minutes, 4 army personnel including an officer and a policeman were injured. However, the injured were admitted to the hospital. Where their condition was critical and 4 of them died.
The army said that additional troops have been sent to the area and operations will continue here. According to officials, the operation was launched after receiving information about the presence of terrorists in the area.
