In Madhubabu Pension Yojana, old age, widow and widow allowance will be increased to 3 thousand rupees. The Minister of Social Security said, “It has been decided to increase the allowance in these three categories to 3,000, so preparations are underway.” We will see how much the budget is coming, we will take clearance from the finance department. The minister said that we will implement it later. The government is thinking to increase the allowance of various categories. Discussions with officials of various departments are continuing. But first, preparations are underway to increase the allowances for old age, widows and widowers.
For information, the previous BJG government in the state was giving allowances to the beneficiaries deprived of national social security under the Madhubabu Pension Scheme. In this scheme, 56 lakh 76 thousand 916 people from different categories of the state are given allowance. Last February, former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik increased the allowance by 500 rupees. After that, the beneficiaries were getting the minimum allowance amount of Rs. 1000.
