Rahul Gandhi said, “When I shook hands with Speaker Om Birla, he was standing straight. But when Modi shook hands with him, Speaker bowed down.
Speaking to Rahul Gandhi, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said, “The Prime Minister is the Leader of the House.” The culture and ethics of India have taught us to bow down and show respect to our elders. Om Birla further said that ethics teaches us to bow down to elders and touch their feet where necessary.
However, the Congress leader did not stop there. He further said that I accept your words with respect, but I want to tell you that there is no one greater than the speaker in the house.
