New Delhi: Three new law are going to come into effect on July 1. This new law will provide relief to the poor. Now poor people can get out of jail without a lawyer. However, sometimes a poor person who is in jail due to lack of money cannot afford to hire a lawyer for his side. They have to spend their days in jail for not being able to take his side. So now the poor person does not have to face such situations anymore. Because now poor people can get bail without a lawyer. There are some such mentions in the new law that is going to be implemented. Poor people can get bail without the help of a lawyer. The Superintendent of Jail can inform the court to grant bail to such people.

Such provisions have been made in the new law that will come into effect from July 1, said Fire DG Sudhanshu Sarangi. A press meeting was held at a local hotel on behalf of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry (PIB) Bhubaneswar regarding the new criminal law. In which DG Sudhanshu said, Indian Judicial Code, Indian Civil Protection Code and Indian Evidence Act are independent law of independent India. It has two good aspects. The first is the application of scientific knowledge in the field of investigation and justice. The second was to set a time frame for the settlement of various case. In the previous system, justice was delayed. Date after date kept rolling. But the new law has set a specific time frame for the investigation and justice of the case, which will speed up the justice process. However, more human resources will be required to implement the new law properly. Police officers and lawyers should be trained on the new law. As a result, the new law can be fully implemented within a few months.

Similarly, making arrangements for recording the investigation process of the case will make the investigation process more effective. Provisions have been made to reduce the prison sentence of the guilty in the case of plead guilty to minor crimes punishable by less than 7 years. The law has been tightened against organized crime like sexual harassment of women at work, child and women trafficking, terrorism, mob violence, acid attacks, cyber crime, sand mafia, stone mafia and extortion. A case can be filed in any police station by zero FIR system.

While the earlier CRPC had 484 Article, the new Act has 531 Article in the Indian Civil Protection Code. Out of the 511 articles in the IPC, the Indian Judicial Code has 358 articles and the old Indian Evidence Act has 170 articles, while the Indian Evidence Act has 167 articles. Along with this, the DG also advised to be more aware of the new law. Similarly, PIB director Girish Chandra Das said that the main purpose of the new law is not to punish, but to provide justice.

It is worth noting that three new criminal laws will come into effect from July 1. In order to completely change the criminal justice system in the country, the government is going to implement the Indian Penal Code, the Indian Civil Protection Code and the Indian Evidence Act in place of the three British laws IPC, CRPC and Evidence Act from July 1. The new law will completely change the existing law from the British era and will be able to better define the definition of terrorism, sedition and acts against the country. However, these three new laws were passed by the Parliament on September 21 last year. Then, on December 25, the President’s vote on it became full law. A notification has been issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs which will be implemented from next 1st.
