Bhubaneswar: The effect of summer heat continues in the state. Monsoon has touched Odisha before the scheduled time, but there is no relief. SRC issued a warning about this today. It may increase further. SRC has written a letter to 8 district mayors today regarding the assessment of the raging fever. Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Balangir, Boudh and Nuapada have written a letter to the District Magistrates and directed them to take steps to deal with heat.
However, this time Monsoon hit Odisha 4 days before the scheduled time. If the weather is not favorable, the monsoon cannot proceed. On the other hand, because of the wind blowing from the north-west, the summer heat is unbearable. Along with this, the same situation will be maintained for another 2 to 5 days, the weather department has informed. It has also been warned that the day temperature may increase by 2 to 3 degrees.
