Mumbai: In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the NDA has got a majority, but it has already been decided that Narendra Modi will become the Prime Minister for the third time. In the last two elections, the BJP won majority on its own. But this time the team has failed to win on its own. However, like UP, BJP’s poor performance has also been seen in Maharashtra, which has become a matter of concern.
It is worth mentioning that while there are 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra, BJP has won only 9 seats. Where its partner Shiv Sena has won 7 seats and NCP one seat. However, out of the total number of seats in the state, NDA has won only 17 seats while India Mint has won 30 seats.
However, according to the data released by the Election Commission, the NDA has failed to win in most of the seats campaigned by Prime Minister Modi. Prime Minister Modi held multiple public meetings and a road show in 18 Lok Sabha constituencies of Maharashtra, while he won only two of the said constituencies, while the NDA failed to win in the other 15 constituencies.
