New Delhi: The Lok Sabha elections are over. All political parties are waiting for the results. The results of Lok Sabha elections will be announced on June 4. However, before the announcement of the results, Chief Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar held a press conference today. He discussed many issues in this press conference.
This time during Lok Sabha elections, both the leaders and the voters have to face the hot summer. On May 7, Akhilesh Yadav said that the BJP party is knowingly holding elections on sunny days. The current polling should have been done last month. However, NA CEC Rajeev Kumar said, “We had to finish the election a month ago. Elections should not be held in such a harsh climate. This is our first mistake.
Chief Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar also said that 642 million voters have cast their votes in this Lok Sabha election and created a world record. This is 1.5 times more than all G7 countries and 2.5 times more than 27 EU countries. Due to the diligent work of the poll workers, we have repolled in very few places. In the 2019 Lok Sabha election, re-polling was done in 540 seats, while in the 2024 Lok Sabha election, re-polling was done in only 39 seats. Out of that 25 repolls were held in only 2 states.
