MONSOON WILL SOON HIT ODISHA, RAINS IN THE STATE AFTER JUNE 12

Bhubaneswar: An impossible situation has arisen in West Odisha due to severe drought. The state is experiencing heavy summer rains. Yesterday, the maximum temperature in Balangir district was 46.3 degrees Celsius and today it has reached 47 degrees. Jharsuguda’s temperature reached 47 degrees and broke the all-time record for the month of May, according to the Meteorological Department. However, there is good news. Monsoon will soon hit Odisha.

The people of Odisha will get relief from severe pain. It is likely to reach monsoon state on June 12. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has informed about the South-West Monsoon affecting Kerala today. After the south-west monsoon has touched Kerala, it has moved towards the north-east and rains have started in the state under its influence. The first monsoon rains have been recorded in some places of Kottayam district of the state.

In Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram and Assam, the normal monsoon will begin in June. The department has informed that there is a possibility of monsoon coming to Odisha after June 12.
