Accident during Chandan Yatra, one dead, many injured due to fire in arrow pile

Puri: On the occasion of Shreekshatra Bhauri, a rare incident occurred when Lord Mahaprabhu’s pressure game was going on in Narendra pukhari. One person died due to the fire in the arrow pile and more than 30 people were injured. The injured persons were first admitted to Puri Sadar main hospital. Semna has been shifted to Cuttack SCB as the condition of some of the injured is critical.

According to the information received, yesterday, on the 20th day of the sandalwood journey and on the occasion of Shreekshatra Bhonari, the pressure game of Lord Mahaprabhu was going on in the Narendra pukhari. There was a large gathering of devotees to see the Lord’s Bhonari Niti at the Narendra Pukhari. At this time, near Dastuth near Devi Ghat, some devotees were happy by firing arrows. While shooting the arrow, suddenly the arrow fell on the pile near the arrow. The result was a huge explosion of arrows. As a result, the devotees and local residents there fell in the grip of arrows. Many devotees even jumped into the water to save their lives.

However, one hundred people died in the accident and more than 30 people were injured. The injured were immediately admitted to the Sadar main hospital. But some of the injured have been transferred to Cuttack SCB as their condition is critical. After receiving the news, District Collector, SP, MLA, CDM reached the spot and assessed the situation.

On the other hand, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has expressed concern over the arrow accident in Puri Narendra Pukhari during the Chandan Yatra. The Chief Minister has ordered the Chief Administrative Secretary and Puri District Collector to immediately provide all necessary medical treatment to the injured. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has announced that all the medical expenses of the injured will be borne from the relief fund.
