New Delhi: Rahul Dravid’s tenure as the coach of Team India will end after the T20 World Cup cricket. BCCI has official announced the application for this post. It was reported in various media that Justin Langer and Ricky Ponting are going to become coaches. Both are serving as the head coach of Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants respectively in IPL. However, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah denied this news. He clearly said that BCCI did not offer any former Australian cricketer the position of coach.

We are looking for such a coach who has good knowledge of domestic cricket. In media reports, these two Australian players said that they were offered the position of coach. Now it has been rejected by BCCI. It has been reported that Gautam Gambhir is leading the race for the Indian coach post. He is now the coach of Kolkata Knight Riders. BCCI has clarified that a coach will be appointed for 3 formats this time.
