New Delhi: In a remote village in the north-central region of Nigeria, some miscreants shot dead yesterday. While 40 people died in the shooting, many houses in the village were burnt by the miscreants. On the other hand, seven gunmen were killed by the Nigeria police, while the rest of the criminals have fled the scene. However, while the actual cause of the shooting is not known, it is suspected that it may have happened due to the conflict between the herdsmen and the farmers.

According to information, some people entered a remote village in the north-central region late last night and opened fire. Hearing the sound of gunshots, people started running around in fear. The police arrived at the scene after receiving the news of the shooting. The police also opened fire to bring the incident under control. However, 40 people were killed and 12 people were injured in the shooting of the miscreants. On the other hand, seven miscreants were killed in police firing.
