INDIAN WOMEN’S HOCKEY TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT: JYOT, SUNELITA FROM ODISHA

Bhubaneswar: The Indian women’s hockey team was announced on Thursday for the FIH Pro League to be held in Belgium and England. Midfielder Salima Tete has been given the responsibility of leading the 24-man team instead of Prabhi Savita Punia. Navneet Kaur will take over as vice captain. Odisha’s Jyot Chhetri and Sunelita Toppo got a chance in this team. The match will be held in Belgium from 22nd to 26th May and in England from 1st to 9th June. India is in sixth place in this pro league. Salima is very hopeful about the good performance of the team.
