Subaranpur 28/07- A protest has been demonstrated in front of the District Collector’s office by the Web Media Journalists’ Association. Hundreds of journalists have joined the movement under the leadership of the president of the association, Pitambar Mohapatra. The government has included in Gopbandhu health scheme. As a result, journalists working with low formal allowance or salary and limited income can get necessary health services and treatment in private hospitals in this scheme. However, while the journalists working in the mainstream of the district media are getting this opportunity. Many web journalists working in the media have not been included in this scheme. Some of the journalists working in the web media, including the list of media organizations prepared by the State Information and Public Relations Department, are benefiting from this scheme. Many journalists are not included in the list of news organizations created by the state information and public relations department, so they have been excluded from this plan. Therefore, the association has demanded to include all journalists in the district in the Gopbandhu health insurance scheme. Similarly, the senior journalist who has worked for more than two decades and has taken voluntary retirement and his family have also demanded to be included in the Gopbandhu health scheme. Also, the state government has demanded to immediately provide the facilities announced for journalists two years ago. To fulfill the demand, a letter has been issued to the local Additional District Collector Suryanarayan Das for the Chief Minister of the state.
