Bhubaneswar: A tree planting program has been organized by the Alumni Association of JNV Phulbani (JNVPAA) in the campus of Jawahar Navodya Vidyalaya, Phulbani. JNVPAA has been organizing tree planting every year in this season every years. The main objective of this program is to create a sense of responsibility in every person towards society and environment. Also, its main aim is to make everyone aware of the severe crisis that our environment is going through today, mainly due to extreme heat and irregular annual seasons, rainfall. The main cause of all these irregularities is carbon dioxide in the environment. By planting trees we can reduce carbon emissions and save the environment.
Forty former students and over two hundred high school students participated in today’s program. Before the start of the programme, the alumni discussed with the school students what they need to do to succeed and how JNVPAA can help them. The discussion was principal over by Mrs. Namita Rani Panda, the school president. Various aspects were discussed for success in life.
To make today’s program successful, JNVPAA President Vikash Kumar Digal, Vice President Bhramara Behera, Secretary Prabhat Chandra Behera, Ashok Sahani, Treasurer Smt. Aarti Sahu, Santosh Kabat Patra, Ex-President Sura Prasad Naik along with many senior students from different parts of the district succeeded in planting the tree.
