Pakistan’s rupee, which is going through a severe financial crisis, has become very weak against the US dollar. The dollar has become so expensive that it costs 262 Pakistanis rupees to buy one dollar. The Pakistani rupee has further weakened after the removal of the curbs on the exchange rate of the international currency. IMF has strict conditions before granting loans. IMF insists on imposing 17 percent tax on petrol and diesel. Pakistan cannot accept this demand easily.
